They shoved a lot of events into that episode! Namely: Tyrion made friends with Rhaegal and Viserion by taking their collared chains off Euron showed up to kill Balon Ramsay killed Roose Ramsay killed Fat Walda and baby boy Bolton Sansa is planning to ride to Castle Black Theon is going home Melisandre washed Jon's dead body, but he didn't "wake up" until Ghost woke up Arya is going back to the House of Black and White with Jaqen Hagar Bran went back in time with Bloodraven and saw Ned, Benjen, Brandon, Lyanna, and Hodor who they said was named Willis instead of Walder

I'm wondering if Mel's crisis of faith and Thoro's loss of faith are linked. Can't remember if he tells her about how he'd lost faith in the show or not. I thought Ghost was going to die and then Jon would come back, but thank goodness not.

Ramsey, the creepiest bastage ever. I think Thoros said he never believed but when his friend Beric died he just said the words anyway. Beric didn't get his left eye back but he had plenty of scars including the wounds that killed him. Course when Davos pleads with Mel; he says all the gods are the same. So I don't know if Jon is like Beric or Coldhands. I'm going with coldhanded with a shock reveal down the road; that Bran raised him. LOL.
While I was watching Mel say the words; I kept expecting her ruby to change from black to red.

Is Jon's resurrection meant to demonstrate a blue eyed king who casts no shadow? Melisandre used a funeral rite to try to resurrect Jon Snow like Thoros did for Beric Dondarrion, but it seemingly didn't work. Yet Jon awoke after she left, but also after Ghost woke up. Was this supposed to be a combination of ice and fire magic?

I kept expecting her ruby to change from black to red. I did too. I kept watching to see if it would pulse with light, but it never did.

Yet Jon awoke after she left, but also after Ghost woke up. Was this supposed to be a combination of ice and fire magic? I think Ghost just woke up because he felt the return of Jon's spirit. It's like he was just bored with whatever the humans were doing. He didn't stir the whole time, not even when they left. Then suddenly he's like 'Oh there you are!'

I wasn't expecting Euron tonight, but they did set the stage quickly. Jon as the resurrected was setup in the scene with Jaime amd the High Sparrow. He says, "Do you know why we use these stones? To remind us not to fear death. We close our eyes in this world and open them in the next." They are going for the Jesus resurrection angle, methinks. Jon was laid on a table, in a 'tomb', washed and rose again when left alone. So... Did Mel actually bring Jon back? Or was it a coincidence?

I really like Davos line about all the gods being the same. I think that is spot on with the books that all magic is magic with different ways of practicing it.
