And now we know why they killed 2 direwolves this season. Wait, why? What Mel said. To save money. The CGI of the direwolves and the dragons are two of the most expensive things to shoot. Battles, I would imagine, are right up there in terms of cost. And it's the dragons and battles that pull in the views. The direwolves, in this case with their horrific deaths, do the same and save them money in the long run. Hell, Shaggy Dog wasn't even CGI, just a model, so that must have been quite cheap to make in comparison. Bastards.

One of my predictions of this episode is Rickon being killed by Ramsey and being burned in the flying cross.

Ah no! Not Rickon, please not Rickon. How will the Stark name carry on if he's dead? Or is the show continuing it's theme of eliminating houses? Jon could be made a Stark, just like Ramsay was legitimised, I supppose but I'd rather we didn't lose the last true male Stark capable of carrying on the house to the alter of all things Jon Snow. Too cheesy of a hero story line for my taste.

And on that note -- GHOST HAD BEST NOT GET KILLED TONIGHT EITHER! Sorry for shouting. I really, truly, with all my heart, will throw things at the TV otherwise, mean it.

Had an unsullied friend stop by and we got to talking about what might happen tonight. We came up with this: I could happen!

Had an unsullied friend stop by and we got to talking about what might happen tonight. We came up with this: I could happen! I've had more than one person ask me this, i.e. could the Night's King join the fray and make the two armies unite because of a common enemy. I don't know, it would entail a lot happening behind the scenes. Brans needs to get south of the Wall and then Edd and the rest of the NW lose a battle bigger than the Wildling one. Remember just because the WWs can cross does not mean their army can until/unless the Wall comes down. I think the entire north of W would've heard or felt such a colossal collapse.

Well damn, dogs eating Ramsay's face was . Along with the Hodor scene, the most satisfying forwarding of the plot all season. But damn Rickon.

Okay. Jon beating in Ramsay's face was awesome. And his demise was fitting. When did Winterfell move to jogging distance from the Wall? Must be some tunnels through space and time, eh? Rickon and Wun Wun...

One of my predictions of this episode is Rickon being killed by Ramsey There ya go PoG, you were right. Ramsay really couldn't allow Rickon to live, like Sansa said, because he's the 'last' trueborn Stark male and a threat to Ramsay's reign as Lord of Winterfell.

Rickon and Wun Wun... That's what I say. Both last of their lines. It's funny because as I was watching Wun Wun make it through the gate, I was reciting for the Unsullied with me, the line from the Ghost of High Heart -- and later I saw that same maiden slay a savage giant in a castle made of snow. And just as I finished, our Wun Wun fell.
