Two of Drogo's bloodriders accuse her of being a maegi before they fight with Jorah.

I've said it before, but it was not in the context of that reddit post. I thought she died and came back in the HotU. That's the bunny!

There is also a water aspect to the MMD ritual as well; now that I think of it. Drogo was immersed in a bath of water and the stallion was killed; spilling his blood into the water.

I found the quote from the post I lost. Stannis to Davos - "[...] The darkness will devour them all, she says. The night that never ends. She talks of prophecies... a hero reborn in the sea, living dragons hatched from dead stone... she speaks of signs and swears they point to me."

She talks of prophecies... a hero reborn in the sea, living dragons hatched from dead stone... she speaks of signs and swears they point to me. The frightened child who sheltered in my manse died on the Dothraki sea, and was reborn in blood and fire. That's what Illyrio says to Tyrion about Dany. We also have Patchface that was in the sea for 3 days before being found and revived. And Aeron who drowned and was reborn to come back harder and stronger. Tyrion that goes down dying in the Sorrows, but I don't if that counts since it's river. Finally Davos that drowns and washes up on the pile of rocks. But that was in a bay, even if it is sea water. Who else?

And subtle, because it only comes up once. (As I recall.) Once again, I think Dany is the most likely "fulfillment" for this image - and it fits the pattern of piecemeal PtwP predictions applicable to Dany's story.

A Hero reborn in the Sea... are we talking last hero stuff rather than AA or Dwip? Jon Snow reborn under the sea of trees? Especially given the character location at the Wall? Living dragons hatched from dead stone - Shireen? Suppose Mel does burn her? She has the dragon blood. Is she the stone dragon?

Reborn in the sea and living dragons hatched from stone is so Dany. No doubt Dany is AAR or the tptwp. I'm still of the mind that there will be multiple parties who will fit into the glass slipper. The slight differences in the telling of the prophecies will make it so, in my opinion. There's still the stone beast breathing shadow fire after lifting off from a smoking tower. How does this relate to Dany or any others? What about Melisandre? Such shadows as I bring forth here will be terrible, and no creature of the dark will stand before them.

Reborn in the sea and living dragons hatched from stone is so Dany. Agree completely. But wait guys....Dany being TPtwP is too obvious. I mean, Aemon outright says so, so she is clearly a red herring to distract from the TRUE prince, which is Jon Snowgaryen.

Actually, I think the DtwP was Rhaego. Pretty sure I laid that one out there for the RLJ crowd, once upon a time. Still, I admit there's a good bit of haze in the air on this one. Dany... Rhaego... Drogon... they all seem possible candidates for the DtwP.

I can add to the Reddit posters idea that Dany died...
When Beric is questioned about the other side, he says that there is nothing, nothing but blackness IIRC. We get the same description from Dany of blackness void of stars just before Jorah takes her into the tent.

The more I think about this theory, the more I like it. As the commenters on the original post noted, there's still some 'splainin to do about Dany continuing to remain so typically hooman afterward, such as losing weight in the Red Waste, eating, etc - things that we don't see Mel, Victarion, Beric do - but as the circumstances of her rebirth would be quite sudden and much different than those of UnBeric and UnCat, I think there's wiggle room. One thing that comes to mind though is that Victarion's new firearm seems to need routine "tending" by Moqorro, whereas Dany doesn't seem to require anything - I wonder why that would be.
Also, I want to revisit Dany's memories of childhood and look at the recollections before/after the dragons - did they change, become more confusing/dragon-y? I'm trying to recall if the nature of her memories began to change after she emerged from the fire, or if the memories start showing qualities of maybe "not hers", if that makes sense.

There is the quote from GRRM that Dany's fire immunity is only temporary. I suspect that Mel needs her ruby to top up her fire on a regular basis and she does feel fatique and thirst. She can consume food. I suspect Mel's transformation isn't complete.
So does Dany have to light two more fires before she is transformed completely? Or was the transference of life from her unborn child to herself only necessary to restore her to life as in death pays for life.
Contrary to the HoU prophecy; did she already light three fires and is this part of the forumla; shadows of things past?
"one for life and one for death and one to love" - you could argue that life, death and love are all presented in Drogo's funeral pyre

Contrary to the HoU prophecy; did she already light three fires and is this part of the forumla; shadows of things past? I dunno, I'm leaning toward the assumption that the latter two have yet to be lit. What really interests me though is the change in language: one FOR death vs. one TO love. Is the last one a final transformation? Or where she finally gives birth? Mel's birthing of the shadow baby has a lot of fire imagery. "Her eyes were hot coals, and the sweat that dappled her skin seemed to glow with a light of its own. Melisandre shone. Panting, she squatted and spread her legs. Blood ran down her thighs, black as ink. Her cry might have been agony or ecstasy or both."

Yes, the language does make a difference in my mind. One for death and for life could have happened. The one to love sounds like a future event.
