I too enjoyed E2 very much. It's very complex and mysterious.
In the original Westworld there were two main guests played by Richard Benjamin as Peter and John played by James Brolin who I think are being reprised by Jimmi Simpson as William (new Peter) and his friend Logan played by Ben Barnes (new John). If I am correct, these two actors will become very central to the story.
Also left out from the original are the other two worlds Medieval Europe and pre-Christian Rome. In the original the guns/weapons are temperature sensitive. Humans are warm while androids are room temperature.

I like Weasel Pie's idea that the Gunslinger is an android programmed to think he's a guest. That would explain why another android fired on him in episode one.
The white hat and black hat... the answer to the question: how do you make a distinction between human and androids.
I missed the part where the boy with Ford is an android version of himself. (Company, turkey dinner....)
The new storyline that Ford is cooking up is interesting. He has been accused of playing god and now we have this 'steeple' in the middle of the desert.

If the gunslinger is an android, why can't the other androids harm him? The bullets seem to miss or ricochet off him. Has he made himself "warm"?

It's a good question. Everything is engineered and programmed in the game, even the flies.

It's a good question. Everything is engineered and programmed in the game, even the flies. Well, the gunslinger did say, "I've been coming here 30 years. I was born here." Of course he most certainly looks older than 30.

If the MiB is a host and not a guest, maybe he's been programmed to pave the way for the extremes that some humans would pay big money for? I raised my eyebrows when the programmer who ordered the Native American storyline got shut down by Ford because the lure of the game is not just about bloodlust. In other words, the MiB happily slaughtered dozens, but that was not his ultimate motivation at the end of the say. Killing for the sake of killing was not the be-all end-all for the MiB. He's got a greater mystery to solve, one that's tied into him NOT slaughtering the little girl - who rewards him with info about the maze. So I think that Ford introducing religion is a way of allegorically making him God etc. And the hosts like humans in the Garden of Eden being both spoiled and enlightened by knowledge. And the MiB obviously being a sort of transcendental (you could go Thoreaux or Kant here) everyman going through an existential crisis.
/random thoughts Non-spoiler comment is that this show goes deep.

Can we just put spoilers all in the title and quit with the tags?

I can't Melifeather I don't have HBO. I'll pick up HBO again when it comes time for GoT. And other people who many not have seen the show yet will get things spoiled if they venture into this thread. Every thread on here is relatively spoiler free with the exception of TWD because I don't watch that show and didn't realise you guys were not using spoiler tags. It's simply a courtesy for any member, or in fact lurker, to use spoiler tags.

Spoiler quotes are fine with me. i just didn't think anyone was watching at first except for WP and myself but the view count shows that others are looking. I always go for the spoiler threads whether I've seen a show or not. It's like candy. LOL! I haven't actually seen most of the shows listed except one episode of Mr. Robot. And of course I looked at the spoilers. So I don't know what anyone is talking about anyway. But that's just me. I need things 'splained.
