Back to "we are seeing Bern/old in the wayback past" - totally supported by the fact that Bernard's son died of illness. Remember Berndroid - in what I think is current time - talking about how diseases have been eradicated??? BERNARD'S SON DIED DECADES AGO. Damn. And his "wife" could just be a recording. What do you think of Theresa? She's such a dry character I can barely get a reading. some type of cloning operation, be it parts or full body. What if it's the latter, AAAANNNNDDD..... Ford has cloned himself. The Boy is Ford's younger self, and he's being held in reserve for when Ford dies. He can wander around the park at his leisure until the time comes, and then *BAM*. Wiped clean and uploaded with Fordy essence. Eternal life. well, why would't he? He'd be stupid not to. Contrapasso repeats in a half hour, gonna try and catch it with all this in mind

Interesting theory about the maze:

What is in the middle of the maze?

I actually think the 'maze' is a map of the mind and there are deeper levels to unlock memories, self awareness etc., what the MiB is looking for is a back door to hack the mind. He needs the key words and phrases. But I also think there is a physical exit from the maze; perhaps deeper underground at some old service level.

What is in the middle of the maze? It looks like two people lying on the ground. One is definitely a woman, the other may be a child.

^^^That being noted, we have the claim from Ford that Arnold took a dim view of humanity, preferring the hosts over real people.
Maeve and her daughter were obviously at the center of some major tragedy - and in the first part of her flashback, they were alone out there in the cabin before the natives came. With this photo of them prone in the center of the maze, I wonder if perhaps Arnold opted to create a real fake life for himself, complete with real fake family, before his death. Then of course the MiB walks through the cabin door, presumably to kill her and her daughter, and she counts down only to wake up in the tech room.
Just a crackpot thought.

I can't get onto my laptop right now so I'll have to keep this brief and come back later.
I've been thinking about the name "hosts" and the economics of the park. Even at 40k a day (and excluding the inflation I've mentioned before) the economics of running the park don't make sense to me. The costs are almost incomprehensible and make running google or facebook look comparable to a mom and pop store!
So what if the real end goal was for the hosts to serve as a vessel for the human conciousness? If that's the case, then to me the ultimate test of the technology's efficacy would be the creation of a sentient machine.
This of course creates an ethical dilemma that could have been at the heart of Arnold and Ford's disagreement. That's to say once host become sentient do you wipe it to make room for a human conciousness, or is that murder?
Pure speculation / crackpot of course but something to ponder.

It's clear from the website that *something* biomedical is going on...organ manufacture or human cloning. You're right though...the only way to truly create/remake a human is to create/remake a HUMAN...with all its free will and icky spots.

I've been thinking about the name "hosts" This is a great point. It's a very sci-fi term - from Invasion of the Body Snatchers to Aliens, where the "alien" life takes advantage of an existing organism. Also make me think of viral epidemics. Hrm.
