I remember reading some Margaret Atwood in college lit, and I did see the old Robert Duvall move version of The Handmaid's Tale but DAMN PEOPLE you need to watch this!
Elisabeth Moss deserved all the Emmy's. PM me for a link.

I agree. This first season was amazing. And terrifying.
I'm interested to see where it goes in S2, since the book basically ends at where S1 cuts off. Atwood left it open-ended on purpose so no one really knows what became of Offred, so not sure if Elizabeth Moss will be back or if the story will pick up with a new character.

Quick google tells me stuff that might be light spoilers, here.Atwood will be consulting and apparently may even write a second book set in Gilead. Sounds like Old Turtle has set a precedent for TV shows producing shows based on books that aren't even written yet...

Wow, sounds like it's gearing up for a good S2! Although, not sure if I can handle it going much darker - some scenes from S1 were emotionally painful to watch, especially in the current climate. Things felt a little too real on occasion.
