Sansa says to Jon "You are the son of the last true Warden of the North" I took this to mean "Stark", unlike the pretender/usurper wardens of the north like Greyjoy, Bolton, etc.

Tycho travels to Deepwood Motte, where he pays a ransom for the ironmen which Lady Sybelle Glover accepts for the king. He then goes through the snow toward Winterfell looking for Stannis. The king is not there, but Tycho finds Mors Umber outside the gates with some green boys. He takes Theon Greyjoy and Jeyne Poole, who were there after their escape from Winterfell. After three days they arrive at Stannis's camp in a crofters' village. Doesn't this seem like Umber is allied with Stannis? Or am I missing something?

Drogo hunts a white lion and gives Dany the skin to cloak herself. Semi-related....Seams at Westeros had a thread a while back on the significance of sewing, clothing, and garmentry (?) in ASOIAF, and she touched on the symbolism of cloaks. Note that Jon, upon joining the NW, is required by rule to don a black cloak made out of wool - i.e. sheep/lambs. Dany is gifted a white lion pelt by her lover. Tyrion gambles for and wins a black and white shadowcat cloak that had been stolen off a dead man. I have no idea what that means but it seems like it should be very important.

k lemme fix, lol
On the show, I believe Sansa will have Smalljon beheaded (which takes the place of Mors being beheaded in the book). Either way, the Giant in the Prophecy is an Umber.

Cloaks, Fabric and Sewing is an interesting read. The House of Black and White comes immediately to mind, but I don't know what to make of it.

The black wool he exchanged for the un-dyed white wool. He became the leader of the sheep. Then Jon herded them through the Wall where Mance shed his sheepskin clothing. Now Jon will shed his. It's all about the sheep and babies. Can't help but say... Shadow am I! Shadow am I! The question of a person, no said reply Wolf am I! and Shadow cast on the sheep as I pass by Shadow am I! Shadow am I! or like a wearing-black-socks-and-white-woolen-locks Wolf am I, and shadow

"Mance" (Rattleshirt) is not shown in the cloak, even Jon notes that the cloak is missing when he says something like "at least they could have let him keep his cloak". I wonder where it went?

On a rewatch, I noticed Jon and Sansa have a conversation about going back in time to stop themselves from leaving Winterfell. And Max von Sydow says to Bran they can "come back and visit another time" when Bran wants to stay at the Tower. Time travel confirmed.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, on a rewatch, I caught Littlefinger telling Sweet Robin to 'come and see' what he brought him. Made sit up a bit, considering the contents of their Pink Letter.

Awesome catch! I never considered Littlefinger as writing the Pink Letter, and while I don't see a connection in the books, it seems very plausible on the show! If Littlefinger is assembling the Vale to take Winterfell from the south, of course he would want Jon to attack from the north!

Made sit up a bit, considering the contents of their Pink Letter. love it, since I'm still suspicious about Ramsay writing the Pink Letter Ramsay was clearly told that Jon Snow would have the home turf advantage, and Ramsay wanted to storm into Castle Black.
