I had no idea about this one. Pitch Perfect 2 has been on virtual repeat on HBO lately, and I finally looked up this actress. Kommissar from Das Sound Machine ...........................................what?? I know! Karsi, GoT Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, everyone

Holy sh*t she's gorgeous! Why did they down play her looks on GoT so much? And she must have a helluva voice to be in Pitch Perfect 2. They do all their own singing.

She's most stunning without the makeup isn't she. Actually she and her group are the highlights of the movie. Her singing voice is decent, but combined with the routines they do I thought she was terrific. Turns out that the guy is a German DJ and youtube star, does "autotunes" (heh - he does them in a car) covers. The guy is crazy...

Wow, starting the thread with a pretty obscure one! Who knew that Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon had already played best mates in The Full Monty? I had no clue. A few of the easier ones here

Stephen Dillane had a lead role on a very good but short-lived Skinemax show called Hunted. Additional GoT crossover on the same show with Patrick Malahide (Balon Greyjoy), Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand), and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (1-ep role as slave trader that was utter waste of exceptional talent, not that I'm bitter).

Who knew that Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon had already played best mates in The Full Monty? Sean Bean wasn't in The Fully Monty. Think you're confusing him with Robbie Carlyle, who played Mark Addy's best pal in that film.

Patrick Malahide (Balon Greyjoy) And it's almost entirely a waste of his talents as well to have him in such a minor role. I'm not saying he didn't do a great job as Balon, but I could easily envision him in the role of Tywin, and doing it just as well as Charles Dance. Actually, Malahide would've made Tywin grittier and closer to the books. Dance gave Tywin too much honour.

It's their voices though. Charles Dance sounds upper class. Is Patrick Malahide affecting Balon's voice or is that how he sounds naturally?

Patrick Malahide can sound like biggest toff you've ever met. If you haven't watched Indian Summers on PBS, then see if you can find it. He plays the Viceroy and butter would not melt in his mouth. That character is closer to what my headcanon for Tywin. Malahide changes for every character, he can sound like a street thug or the Prince of Wales. His voice isn't as deep as Dance, but he can put on a sly voice much better than Dance, I think. And if you've seen the very first episode of Endeavour, then you'll see him do the slick, upper crust, pier of the realm, to the hilt in that.

Perhaps it's just my advancing years, but IMO several of the men in that video have drastically improved with age. Jerome Flynn, NCW, Stephen Dillane, and Liam Cunningham look FAR more handsome and sophisticated now that they're past 40/50.
