I do find it intriguing, though, that Varys arrives in Meereen from Westeros like five minutes after she flies away on Drogon, and leaves Meereen for Westeros like five minutes before she flies back in again. Velly velly suspicious. The ultimate cracked pot! Varys is Dany! lol

Did anyone else expect a waterlogged Uncatzombie to burst out of the river while the Hound was taking a leak? What was the point of how that shot was framed? No one cares if Sandor pees. No one cares how still the water was. Or should we? I actually was thinking that Cat would be floating in the water (still dead) and then Beric would give her the breath of life in front of the Hound. Am curious about the Kindly Man's (J'agen) reaction to Arya on claiming that she was headed back home. He sort of had a Cheshire Cat grin as if he either knew something that Arya did not, or that was exactly what he was hoping would happen. It was an odd reaction.

I actually was thinking that Cat would be floating in the water (still dead) You know... when Jaime and Edmure were talking, it was driven home that it had been two years since the Red Wedding. A very strange underscore for the writers because when have they ever been concerned with timelines? Because I had the same thought, that if it were an unrevived Cat, she'd basically be a skeleton after two years in the water. It's possible D&D were just screwing with us, knowing book readers would know about the significance of Beric and Thoros hanging out by the river. So what was the point of giving viewers the two year timeline? I ask you! The KM's reaction was strange, agreed. Strange he let the Waif get away with her crap for so long too. At the least he would know she didn't give intend to give Arya a painless death. And her animosity towards Arya was never fully explained. What was in the water Arya drank, that it didn't kill her? How did she not die from the twisted stab wounds? So many questions

What was in the water Arya drank, that it didn't kill her? How did she not die from the twisted stab wounds? Actually now you mention it...what the hell is in that water? It's the same fountain from season 5 that Arya uses to give the young girl the gift, so if she drank from it too, why is she not dead? And didn't Jaquen say something like 'if you truly are No One, then a girl can drink and get her eyes back'?

And didn't Jaquen say something like 'if you truly are No One, then a girl can drink and get her eyes back'? In the book, it's red. I've speculated it's made from weirwood leaves, the same way the shade of the evening is made from the trees with the blue leaves that grow outside the HotU. On a rewatch - Arya wants to go West of Westeros, to the edge of the world hmm.

Oh yeah, I think you've got something there. Hmm, wonder if weirwood 'sap' is ok to eat/drink but the leaves are poisonous. I would imagine if taken in sufficient quantities, the Shade of the Evening is probably poisonous as well. Or it could be all in the preparation. Still, it's the same fountain, and Arya knows it is because she thinks about it before drinking.

You know I haven't rewatched an episode since the Hodor one. Don't know why, usually I rewatch the next day, or at the latest, Saturday.
So she wants to go west, west... hmm indeed.

So she wants to go west, west... hmm indeed. Maybe she thinks the world is flat? She would also be going west to reach the east. Hmm. Couple more things on a rewatch: The Waif says that the Many Faced God was promised a name and no one can change that. This is totally Eowyn's retort to the Witch King of Angmar when you think about it. No one can change that. It's as if the final test is cheating death? Same as drinking the PoolAid. Also we have yet another drowning/gasping revival here with Arya. What if she can't die now, or something? I dunno. ETA not the first time I've thought about Arya being The Stranger Also, a thought occurred to me during the Hound Takes A Pee scene. We do know of one character associated with the river who might be hanging around underwater. The Blackfish. Mwaha. Was his "death" like one of Arya's? Stabbed and fell in the water? /speculation

Just rewatched Arya's scenes only. A few things occurred to me that I missed the first time...
- The Waif is like the Terminator 2000, changes IDs and is relentless in her pursuit.
- The stunt double is not a very good match for Maise. It's a man and you can tell it's a short man.
- Good thing that candle lasted a long time. Sheesh it's been days since she last put it out and when she arrives it's lit again?
- Also a good thing the Waif has good manners and closed the door behind her, otherwise Arya would have to get pasted her to make sure it's dark in that little room.
This whole thing was the laziest writing ever. No real plot, just stunts and action without much thought as to 'why would any of this be happening to a character that should and does know better'.

I forwarded through the chase scene up until the classic fruit stand/market chase scene trope. I almost laughed at that.

Ok so I was too busy with school work at the time to bring this up, so I'm updating this now I'm nearly finished with my summer classes. WTF is wrong with the continuity folks over at HBO? Can they not have a composition book with notes in it to make sure they've got their character's relationships and House Words correct!?!? Sansa's letter to the Blackfish...Way to go L'il Catelyn. Exactly like your mother, indeed.
