For fellow nerds who collect stuff related to the series.... I have the complete set of Funko Legacy figures already, but things were getting a little too serious up on the shelf with all of the plastic brooding going on, so I like, literally, lightened the mood. With this beauty: Oh HELLS yeah! Saint Jon Snow, baby! It will sit next to this: The throne, not the crappy fake history book. And in my kitchen: Anyone else have any fun memorabilia/collectibles??

Nothing as cool as the Jon candle. I don't have the whole set, but I do have Bronn and Shaggydog (I think)

And some coasters that somebody on Etsy put together....which are not holding up very well.

If I were to collect GoT swag, first purchase:

That's awesome. I don't have the whole set, but I do have Bronn Mr. Pig came home from Target yesterday with two of the Funko minis for me - I got Bronn also, and Melisandre! He decided that Mel should be seated on the iron throne pictured above, so currently she is Queen of Shelferos in my den. I have to confess...I am sorely, and I do mean sorely, tempted to buy the official GoT astrolabe. It is just so completely awesome. Mr. Pig will kill me though.

The kids bought me the Games of Thrones Risk set. For those familiar with the old Hasbro strategic conquest game, this edition follows very closely except there are two boards: 2 player game board Essos, 3 to 5 player game Westeros. There are two different modes in which to play the game: skirmish and domination. Skirmish mode is much like the old risk game, where you capture territories and eliminate your opponents. Domination mode, according to my son, overlays the old Dungeon and Dragons game where you have character cards that produce certain abilities at the cost of gold dragons, as well as objective and maester cards to put a little different spin on the game.
One nice addition that the GoT set has over the risk is the concepts of ports along the borders. In Risk you could only have attacks from adjacent territories; in Got, if your territory has a port, then someone could attack you a naval assault.

The kids bought me the Games of Thrones Risk set. I....did not know this existed. I will own it posthaste. Mr. Pig will kick my pork rump in no time at it, I'm sure. Speaking of Mr. Pig and GoT items, I got this for Christmas: The OFFICIAL, LIMITED EDITION Game of Thrones Astrolabe and pop-up book! The astrolabe is fantastic; very heavy and well made. It's sitting on my mantel in the central place of honor. Haven't cracked open the pop-up book yet, as the minute I do it will be completely and utterly destroyed by my children. It is nice, though.

The OFFICIAL, LIMITED EDITION Game of Thrones Astrolabe and pop-up book! Does the astrolabe work? Are you able to make astronomical measurements of the altitudes of celestial bodies, or in navigation for calculating latitude, with the edge marked in degrees and a pivoted pointer? Or is it just completely freakin awesome?

Uhhhh...perhaps someone could do this? Someone who isn't me? Or is it just completely freakin awesome? Definitely this!

It's been years since I've played, and the last time I did play it was 'The Lord of the Rings' version... So I can imagine this Game of Thrones board is very cool to have.
