It's funny that I used to hate the Greyjoy chapters until beginning work on the inversion chapters. Now they're my favorite!
I'd like to offer my thoughts/ideas on some of these...
scales for feathers - armor
Do you recall the clothing Euron was wearing in The Forsaken chapter? It was some new black, rippling mail that Aeron hadn't seen before. I don't have access to the description at the moment, but maybe someone can dig it up.
merwives - rock wives
seaweed gowns - worn by priest of the drowned god
A nennymoan is a type of purple flower and when I tried googling the meaning/symbolism all that comes up are other ASOIAF threads about Patchface! lol
snowing up - dead bodies rising in the water
rain is dry as bone - winter is coming
It's winter in the north, but if the north is upside down then the snow is rising up instead of falling. It's just symbolism that I consider evidence that the north is upside down and that a ward has been opened flipping reality for Westeros on the wheel of time.
krakens
The fish are wights. The armies of the slain are said to feed on the living. While we haven't actually read about them eating them, they do kill the living. The living are hunted, so I guess that's how the fish eat.
kraken (plural) rising in clouds of ink; shimmering blue and green
I've often wondered if this is actually a prophecy about the Blackwater with references to green wildfire.
old fish - priests of the drowned god
young fish - drowned children
I think this is the dead wights (newly dead, so young fish) eating the living (old fish, because they will become newly dead later on).
the dead - drowned men - what is dead can never die
The dead wights walk which can be described as dancing...maybe even like marionettes.
carrion crows of the sea - kraken
White ravens are sent by the Citadel to announce winter has arrived.
I'd like to offer my thoughts/ideas on some of these...
