So musing further on this...if Dany fits the bill for PtwP, or DtwP if you will, this has to tie in with "three heads of the dragon". Rhaegar thought Aegon was one due to the comet....and, of course, Dany also saw the comet before she walked into the fire and kicked off the whole shebang.
Could this mean that baby Aegon had some kind of 'experience' with fire as well?
Semi-related, if Dany is one of the three heads because she has died and been reborn via fire magic, should we look at the others in the series who also qualify for "what is dead may never die" status to fill in the other two slots?
Beric - now dead after 7 resurrections Cat - too "far gone", I think, to be of any use beyond rage revenge monster Victarion - still kicking. Possibility? Jon - not officially R'hllorected yet, but I think we all know it's coming Tyrion - unknown if actually dead - was resuscitated but not by fire magic. Is he out of the game or is the different type of rebirth a technicality? Euron - who the heck knows what he is Bran - same as Tyrion; only "mostly dead", and not brought back via fire breath

I had a weird thought about Drogo and the MMD ritual. Basically if Drogo had survived, he would essentially be Dany's 'instrument' for getting Westeros back. He would be her 'sword'. The first forging of the sword in water failed, broken in two; just like Drogo forged in water but his soul and body separated. There's really no question in my mind at this point that Dany is AAR, either Rhaegar or Aery's daughter. I don't think the dawn sword will have much to do with Dany but rather more to do with Jon or even Brienne. Lightbringer seems more like a title to me than an actual weapon. It's supposed to be 'warm to the touch'. This reminds of Melisandre who impresses upon Jon that she is 'warm to the touch'. So Dany does seem to be something more akin to Mel but not fully transformed. She still feels hunger and fatigue. It's AAR who forges the fiery sword or becomes the fiery sword. I wonder if these riddles from the HoU are specifically about forging the sword: . . . three fires must you light . . . one for life and one for death and one to love . . . . . . three mounts must you ride . . . one to bed and one to dread and one to love . . . . . . three treasons will you know . . . once for blood and once for gold and once for love . . awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Lightbringer

Next is the heart of the lion - and if we follow show-script, Tyrion is on his way to Dany, possibly her next metaphorical sword. The third, her Nissa Nissa, that which she loves best in all the world? What would that be? Her identity from the house with the red door?

I thought it was because some of the elements were missing and that the funeral pyre completed the "recipe".

It's supposed to be 'warm to the touch'. Quick, someone do a search for mentions of Dany always being warm!

Maybe, but I'm not sure if her feelings for him are true deep love, or just lust. I'm sure she does love him in a way, but is he what she loves best? It seems that the only thing she's really, really passionate about series-wide is her longing for 'home'.

I thought it was because some of the elements were missing and that the funeral pyre completed the "recipe". I guess the thing about how this occurs is not a forcing of the prophecy like Rhaegar or Euron for example. Dany isn't even aware of the prophecy as far as I can tell.

Didn't Dany say something like she guessed the truth of it long ago, and that the fire wasn't hot enough? It's the same with the three forgings. It wasn't until the last one that the fire was hot enough and there was a volcanic eruption.

Do we read them top-down? In other words; a fire, a mount and a treason
- for life, to bed, for blood - jeepers: bed of blood, to bed for blood - pregnancy, childbirth - to death, to dread, for gold - one to love, one to love, once for love

To expand on the thought above, the funeral pyre was the third forging, because during the burning there were three loud cracks with the last one representing the breaking of the world. However, if the three breakings are repeating and Drogo was number one again, then Tyrion makes a likely second.

However, if the three breakings are repeating and Drogo was number one again, then Tyrion makes a likely second. I'm wondering if Tyrion will succumb to grey scale and the fire for death will shatter the stone and bring him back? As a dragon? The second head of the dragon? I'm not sure about the dread mount unless it's Euron's ship of horrors - the Silence (a seahorse). The treason for gold might have something to do with Daario or one of the Khals or something to do with Euron or Victarion conspiring with one of Dany's insiders? Or gold for a dragon? Behind a silver horse the blood corpse of a naked man bounced and dragged. - HoU

This always happens to me.... I'm lying in bed trying to sleep and I keep wondering what Dany loves most in the world. Her children, the dragons.
