Latest binge. I'm two episodes in and am hooked; thank goodness Season 2 starts in December so I can roll right on in. If you aren't aware, this is the adaptation of Philip K. Dick's sci-fi novel of the same name - like his other works Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report, etc, it's a story about a society in an alternate dystopian future, this time one in which the US/Allied powers lost WWII and the Germans/Japanese now co-rule America. In this society, an underground resistance movement is brewing that focuses around a series of newsreel films depicting the US actually winning the war. (In the novel, the medium was a banned novel "The Grasshopper Lies Heavy", but the show changed it to film in order to show actual news footage of Iwo Jima, Yalta, Normandy, etc). Anyway, if you can stream it, I highly recommend thus far. I'm ordering the novel as well.

Another excellent pick Pig!
I watched this last year I think and am thinking about rewatching before s02. It gets real trippy with the films and has quite a bit in common with Mr Robot, only a dystopia of a dystopia, if you can follow that. Probably closest to Total Recall than his other stuff. Haven't read the books, since I usually hate films or shows if I've read them first.

This sounds great! I think I have time to fit in one more show before the new season of Walking Dead.

I really like this one, because I'm halfway through the season and still can't figure out what folks' allegiances really are. I love it when shows keep me guessing! (Am deliberately avoiding reading the episode recaps, fwiw.)

Not a bad idea to avoid the recaps on this one. Depending on what you read, it can change your own impression of what's going on. And with this series in particular, you're really better off forming your own. I didn't read any either until the series was done, and frankly I prefer my ideas to what I read. Can't wait to hear what you guys make of it.
