And Bernard has "been around forever". Been around forever, has authorized access to the verboten lower levels, but has never heard of Arnold, the park's co-founder. Mmmkay. It was odd that the promo video she saw featured her storyline from over a year ago. Right, and I think that prior build may have been around for quite some time, too...which makes me wonder why they decided to "upgrade" her narrative from simple rancher's wife to brothel madam a year ago.

Rewatched E6. I counted 6 different outfit configurations for Bernard - all very similar so changes are subtle, but they are there. Going to watch again tomorrow with notepad and freeze frame to capture the sequencing and detail.
As I was pointing this out to Mr. Pig, he responded with, "Holy shit, is there more than one Bernard?"
Also want to come back to Teddy's monologue on the maze, Wyatt and the rancher's daughter that he stole. I still think the whole Teddy/Wyatt narrative is a metaphor for Ford and Arnold, with Wyatt being Arnold...and people assume that the rancher's daughter is all about Dolores - but what if it's really related to prior-build Maeve?

Holy moly. This has turned into quite the project. However, after rewatching all the Bernard scenes from Ep 6 and Ep 1-4, I can positively confirm that we are viewing a very, VERY nonlinear timeframe.
Here's how Ep 6 played out in terms of the "Bernard's Wardrobe Conspiracy". These are all Bernard's appearances, in order shown.
1) Bernard and Elsie are looking at the satellite implant device; Bernard then heads down to B82. - dark suit jacket - light blue shirt - dark blue tie - gray & navy v-neck cardigan 2) Theresa breaks up with Bernard. - Black wool flannel suit jacket - grey dot-patterned suit vest - grey dress pants - white shirt - navy tie 2a) Theresa wearing a grey wool dress with pintucks at neck 2b) Theresa next talking to Asian investor; now in black v-neck 3/4 sleeve dress. 3) Bernard and Elsie discussing potential corporate sabotage. - same grey vest, white shirt, navy tie as in #2 - navy textured sport coat - grey casual pants 4) Bernard in control room asking about Sector 17. - Black jacket - very dark gray shirt - black sweater vest - black tie - grey casual pants 4a) Bernard sees Theresa upstairs - she is wearing a black sleeveless dress. 5) Bernard takes elevator to Sector 17, finds Ford's cabin. - black suit coat - medium blue shirt - navy tie - dark (black or navy) pants 6) Bernard asking system about number of 1st gen hosts in rotation. - same outfit as #3 7) Bernard gets call from Elsie about going to secret satellite origin in Sector 3. - black 'smooth' suit coat - light grey shirt - black tie - black pants 8) Bernard visits Theresa to warn her - "Earlier today, I found some anomalies in the park." - same outfit as #7, which he was not wearing in any of the segments 1-6 8a) Theresa is wearing a black round neck long sleeved dress, the same dress that she was wearing when she introduced the Delos board rep to the very drunk Lee Sizemore.
After flipping through the earlier episodes, I noticed a few things:
1) Bernard's outfits remain fairly consistent and linear. In his first few appearances, he's wearing the same thing consistently. In the next few appearances, he's wearing a new thing consistently. 2) Things begin to get wibbly-wobbly once he starts having the secret basement conversations with Dolores. In those conversations, though, he's wearing predominantly black - black overcoat, black pants, black shirt. 3) The black outfits he wears with Dolores are very similar to what we see him wearing in the control room when asking about Sector 17. 4) The arm that grabs Elsie is clad in black.

Do you recall if "he" placed a hand over her mouth? No, it was a really quick headlock gesture...couldn't see the hand.

Even though that would be funny, I don't think that would be far fetched considering where we suspect this story is going.

Sorry I'm late to the party. Thanks @feathercrystal for the invite.
I'm really enjoying this show and finally caught up just before this episode. I'm really bad with names but when the guy in charge of narration was at the bar drinking and hitting on the girl I thought, "idiot! You're telling WAY too much!"
The hosts are so life-like that someone we think is a human might actually be a host. They wouldn't even know about it!
A few episodes ago when the Man in Black broke someone out of jail they showed us the technicians asking and approving the pyrotechnics. That didn't happen on screen when he was fighting the confederate soldiers and James Marseden was firing off raounds that led to an explosion. Are they not being monitored?

wow! I need to catch up on all that, but I'm seeing a category dedicated to Westworld in our future. I was thinking about suggesting this. The episode-based discussion is interesting but it means we have the ongoing theories and discussions spread over multiple threads. That's probably especially annoying for people new to the party like darksister1001 (welcome by the way )
