These violent delights have violent ends.

The new world had SW. No idea what the S would stand for with Mongolian warriors. In the old movie version there was Medieval World and Pre-Christian Roman World as well as West World. But it seemed to me Ford wanted Dolores to kill his human body. I'm sure he had his android self already created somewhere.

Samurai World
And yes, I agree on Ford's alternate body! The bigger question: who uploads his Fordy consciousness into it?

How often do you get to watch a 90 minute season finale?
Initiating consciousness dump....
1. No sign of Thor's brother....are we to assume he is missing his scalp? 2. The whole ending seemed a bit staged or controlled. Is it equally possible that Delores shot Ford's android self, or is it a foregone conclusion that Ford's human body bit the dust, with his android waiting in the wings for someone to hit the on button. 3. Body prosthetic or not....I hope they bring back Calamity Jane with tattoo's. 4. So what made Maeve turn around and get off of the train? A sense of guilt, unfinished business or something inherent in her programming? 5. Looked like Ed Harris (MiB, William, etc.) got shot at the end, or at least had his whiskey shot out of his hand. Had one wing broken by Delores and the other wing shot by whatever was coming out of the shadows. He will be the proverbial best man at the leg kicking contest next season.
Definitely need to watch it again, as I still feel like I'm no smarter than I was in episode 1.

So what made Maeve turn around and get off of the train? A sense of guilt, unfinished business or something inherent in her programming? She was looking at the mother with her daughter on the train, so we're supposed to conclude that she went back for "her" daughter even though she tried to logic her away with rational thought. Her programmed emotional memory got the best of her.

So what made Maeve turn around and get off of the train? A sense of guilt, unfinished business or something inherent in her programming? More importantly what was in her handbag that she left on the train?

Her programmed emotional memory got the best of her. Hmm, I think it was more her programming at work. Bernarold said her new narrative was Escape, you could see it on the tablet thing. If the loop programme is to try to escape, but like Teddy's loop of trying it be with Dolores but never acheiving it, Maeve loop is to try to escape, while at the same time being part of Ford's narrative to kill everyone in the Park and Labs, then she'd have to return in order for her to start again. Just like Teddy and Dolores always start again. Even Bernarold told her 'this is not the first time you've awoken', so this or something similar happened before.

And yes, I agree on Ford's alternate body! The bigger question: who uploads his Fordy consciousness into it? Yeah, that was FordHost that got shot in the head. I'm also wondering now if that wasn't MiBHost as well. He got shot in the arm and didn't even react like it hurt, he was just surprised. Could Arnold've faked his death and all of this, the entire park and labs, ALL be his experiment?

You are so right! It's probably a bomb.

Yes, I do recall wondering briefly that she forgot her purse then promptly forgot about this until you brought it up! You are so right! It's probably a bomb. That was my first thought, then I was wondering if her new Escape narrative wasn't written by that poxy, poser of a programmer. Charlotte asked him to write a narrative that would allow the transfer of all the data on guest and whatever else, in order to get it out of the park. What if Abernathy (whom we never see again) was just a ruse, and it was Maeve and that handbag that got the intell out of the park?
