"You bloody crows." Tormund's tone was gruff, yet strangely gentle. "That Longspear stole me daughter. Munda me little autumn apple. Took her right out o' my tent with all four o' her brothers about. Toregg slept through it, the great lout, and Torwynd... well, Torwynd the Tame, that says all that needs saying don't it?" Just now getting into this thread, but first observations from this passage alone: 1) obvious Bael and even some ToHH reference here. 2) In the tent, Toregg/lout = Brandon the Wild Wolf, Torwynd the Tame = Ned the Quiet Wolf 3) Ygritte sees Longspear as a brother, they grew up in the same village. Jon thinks of Ygritte as like Arya. Ned sees Arya as like Lyanna. Lyanna had another brother that she grew up with in her 'village'. Just saying. 4) Munda = autumn apple. If my timeline calcs are correct, Jon is an autumn apple too. 5) Longspear is a wildling - so part of Munda's 'tribe'. He isn't an outsider; he's part of their group. 6) Tormund isn't necessarily upset about his daughter being 'stolen'. Lastly, although not related to this passage: Tormund is right-hand-man to the King Beyond the Wall. Recall that there's some dissension in the wildling ranks too - Rattleshirt is against Jon joining their group - even after he proves his loyalty by killing Qhorin halfhand - and considers him a traitor, turncloak, etc still working for the Night's Watch. (He's right, of course.) The King (Mance) disagrees, however, and allows the turncloak in. Tormund goes along in support of the King, and Ygritte and Longspear go along with Tormund. Eventually Jon does betray them, but then reunites them for a greater cause...and the person who suspected him all along is killed for his trouble. Interesting to think about....

The term of endearment, "me little autumn apple" makes me think of Snowfyre's horticulture essays about apples. I know Sansa was an apple and somehow Snowfyre had Jon as a "stone apple" because he made a connection to the "Bael apple". Yes.
