Awesome episode! A lot to revisit but.... Evan Rachel Wood might possibly be flawless. I even forgive her for the Marilyn Manson thing. Dolores might be one of the best female television characters ever. The only one in close competition is Maeve. Thandie is killing it.
And it looks like Littlefinger finally made his mark on Westworld.

Haven't watched yet...probably tomorrow night before the opportunity arises. I'm sure I will have a ton of word vomit though!

Not conclusive but it is starting to look more and more like William = MiB and we are seeing the 1st and 2nd "revolutions" happen in parallel. If that is true and from the conversations in this episode we are going to see some pretty dramatic relationship changes. William is likely going to have to turn on Dolores in order to save the park from whatever Arnold has set in motion through her. He will also presumably have to stage some kind of coup to become head of Logan's family's business / foundation.

Why would Ford continue to visit with the retired cowboy that looks a little like General Custer when "it" obviously is out of the loop? After Ford talked to it, it replied back that that was some story and then said, "lets toast to the girl in white shoes." This was the second time he sat and visited with that particular android.

My guess was that it was an extremely old model host. Maybe even Ford's "first". He also talks to him in costume which is unusual.

He could just as easily talk to a current host, unless he's anti-"infection". What I mean by that is to refrain from influencing the hosts into developing self-awareness or religion.

Is that the same host who sometimes plays the piano in his office? Anyway, my thought was that the host he talked to was there for exposition purposes, so the character Ford could talk about things that he can't talk about to other characters. Further, that host also illustrates how much more advanced the other hosts are. So, nostalgia for him, but also a safe ear?

I guess it depends upon what we think Ford is up to. Is he the one manipulating the hosts to change or is he trying to stop it?

So, nostalgia for him, but also a safe ear? I think this is it. One other option is that maybe he picks one of the old, more "robot-like" hosts to remind himself that they are just robots. I guess it depends upon what we think Ford is up to. Is he the one manipulating the hosts to change or is he trying to stop it? I think he is trying to manipulate the hosts but I suspect he is not the only one. Who implanted the satellite communication laser(?) in smashed-head-wood-chopper?

Who implanted the satellite communication laser(?) in smashed-head-wood-chopper? Yes, this was the bombshell of the episode IMO. Still wrapping my heard around it. Of course the ten minute full frontal orgy was a little distracting.

Combine this with Ford's paranoid sounding interogation of Dolores about the last time she spoke to Arnold and it makes me wonder...

I haven't seen the whole episode yet....don't worry about the spoiler....if I didn't want to be spoiled I'd stay away....I have a feeling I'm not the only one that isn't caught up.

I have a feeling I'm not the only one that isn't caught up. Hahaha, either that or there has been a cancellation-threatening drop-off in interest between eps 4 and 5
